Todd Melman

Owner / CEO

Todd has been a reef aquarium hobbyist for 27 years and has worked in the aquarium retail & service industry for over 25 years. In 2010 he became NAUI-certified and has been diving ever since, from a live rock farm in the Florida Keys to the reefs of Fiji. Beyond Reef Systems Coral Farm's mission, Todd often collaborates and consults with publications, businesses, environmental agencies, and academic institutions.

Andy

Lead Service Technician · 2017–Present

Andy has over 31 years of experience in the hobby and is grateful to maintain some of the most beautiful saltwater aquariums and koi ponds we've ever seen. He's a proud father of four and enjoys scuba diving in his free time.

Stephanie

Manager & Internship Coordinator · 2024–Present

Stephanie joined Reef Systems in December 2024 as an Associate Manager, assisting with the OSU research project. She holds a B.S. in Marine Biology and an M.S. in Molecular Biology, with previous work in coral disease research in the Florida Keys and manatee genetics and population tracking alongside the FWC. At RSCF, she's especially excited to expand her expertise in captive-raised coral care and to build an outstanding volunteer and internship program for local students.

Quinn

Aquarist Associate · 2024–Present

A recent graduate of the Delaware Area Career Center studying Wildlife and Resource Management, Quinn plans to pursue a biology degree. Passions include marine biology, the outdoors, taxidermy, video games, and playing music.

Madison

Social Media · 2025–Present

Madison joined RSCF in August 2025 with a BFA in studio art and a background as a freelance multimedia artist. She loves anything near the water — hiking, diving, and paddleboarding — and is diving deep into coral aquaculture and the systems that support it.

Dave

Maintenance Technician · 2018–Present

Dave has kept fish tanks since he was a kid — his first saltwater tank in 2006 became a full reef system in 2017. A 26-year aircraft mechanic, he teaches scuba diving and rides motorcycles for fun, and has been married to Paula for almost 20 years. Dad to four cats: Finnegan, Murphy, Bailey & Molly.

Liam

Aquarist Associate · Oct 2025–Present

A junior at Olentangy Berlin High School, Liam started interning at the coral farm out of a passion for marine biology — especially behavioral science and conservation — which he hopes to pursue in college. He also plays rugby and wrestles, and shares his home with four cats and a dog named Furgi.

Brinley

Intern · May 2026–Current

A junior at Bowling Green State University majoring in marine biology and environmental science, Brinley hopes to specialize in coral reef ecology. Outside academics, she loves the outdoors and has a deep love for animals and the ocean.

A junior at Coastal Carolina University studying Marine & Coastal Environmental Science, Andrew has a soft spot for sharks and joined Reef Systems to learn more about corals, reef ecosystems, and the equipment behind farming them. Free time means water, sports, and video games.

A student at Wright State University and a committed nature enthusiast, Aaron hopes to make a difference through research, cleanup projects, and conservation. He came to Reef Systems to learn alongside like-minded people — and because he thinks coral reefs are the most beautiful environment on the planet.
